GSUS Live

GSUS Live helps secondary school students explore the themes of fear, forgiveness and rejection through the teachings of Jesus. It’s an interactive learning experience set up in a school classroom and is consistent with requirements for the statutory provision of RE for Key Stage 3 students.

About GSUS Live

The program includes Bible story animations, contemporary songs, short films on historical and famous public figures and much more. These are all used to help pupils look at real-life issues through a Christian perspective.

Booking GSUS Live

GSUS Live is offered FREE to schools thanks to the sponsorship of local churches and Counties.

GSUS Live is available for Churches and organisations to book for 3 or 6 weeks. The unit usually spends a week in a different secondary school where local church volunteers lead the sessions in the school.

GSUS Live enables partnering organisations to:

  • Build strong relationships with your local secondary schools,

  • Help teenagers how Jesus’ teachings are relevant today,

  • Complement the teaching of the RE, Ethics, Citizenship, or PSHE in line with the local syllabus.

“Our pupils commented on how interesting they found the experience and how relevant the characters’ scenarios were to them. There was a real buzz around the academy regarding the lessons with some students asking if they could go back in and give advice to a different character.

Rebecca Johnson (Assistant director of Humanities/Head of RE, Ormiston SWB Academy).
