GSUS Live: Churches

Help young people think about real-life issues through the stories of Jesus.

How long can we book GSUS Live for?

Your group of local churches or area schools work agency can book GSUS Live for one half-term, which can be 6 or 7 weeks. This ‘tour’ usually visits one Secondary school per week, so during one half-term it may be visited by about 3,000 students or more. The session complements existing teaching in the RE, PSHE, Ethics or Citizenship syllabus.

Why should we book GSUS Live?ben image

Your churches will be helping teenagers in your community think about real-life issues through the life of and teachings of Jesus. Your youth workers and other charity volunteers are trained and given the opportunity to build relationships with their local secondary schools, going in to run lessons as volunteer presenters. Volunteers participate in training, and receive ongoing support from Counties staff throughout the tour. Counties staff do not stay with the unit, after the training day it is handed over to your own local organisers for day-to-day operations.

How much does it cost?

GSUS Live is FREE, because it is funded by a Christian grant making trust working in partnership with Counties. However, it costs us approximately £1,000 per week to bring GSUS Live to your schools!

How do we book?

Your preparations to host GSUS Live will begin at least 6 months prior to the booking. We are currently taking bookings up to 2 years in advance, but we do sometimes have cancellations, so please do contact us if you are interested in an earlier date.
