Mike & Su Strange - North Petherton
We aim to give every school-age pupil in England, Scotland and Wales an accurate understanding of the Christian faith. Su does all things technical; Mike is the ‘front man’.
We are passionate about evangelism, from the one-to-one in the coffee shop to the millions who use our resources.
RE:Quest
RE:Quest is the UK schools’ most-used Religious Education website. It covers all ages and all areas of the Christianity part of the RE syllabus.
‘Christianity Unpacked’ is a triple CD of PowerPoints and lesson materials aimed at KS2, covering 34 topics. It has been given free to most schools in England, and every school in Scotland and Wales (available in Welsh).
‘Reflections’
‘Reflections’ - based on interviews with Christians from all walks of life to show how their Christian faith impacts their life and work. Aimed at KS3/4 it is available on the RE:Quest website, and elements of it will be given to every Secondary School.
Training
Mike trains teachers to deliver quality RE lessons, specifically using the RE:Quest materials. He is the Vice Chair of Somerset SACRE, the County Council committee responsible for Religious Education and Collective Worship. He leads collective worship in around 50 schools each term.
Su builds and maintains the RE:Quest website, responds to the constant email enquiries, and is currently constructing and editing ‘Reflections’!
